• Analog Node - a new home for BBS, modems, and ANSI art

From pos@21:1/126 to All on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 07:49:40
    Hello FSXNet,

I wanted to introduce a small project I?ve been quietly working on called Analog Node.

Analog Node is a community-focused site dedicated to keeping classic BBS culture alive ? modems (real and virtual), terminals, ANSI art, HAM,
and the systems and people that still make these networks work.

One part of the project I?m especially excited about is an ANSI art
marketplace aimed specifically at BBS sysops. The idea is to give ANSI
artists a place to share and sell original work, and to make it easier
for sysops to find high-quality art for login screens, menus, and themes.

This isn?t meant to replace existing art packs or archives ? it?s more
about giving new and active artists a way to be visible, supported, and connected to modern and classic boards alike.

The site is still evolving, and I?m very open to feedback from fellow
    sysops and FSXNet users.

    If you?re curious:
    https://analognode.net/

Thanks for reading, and for keeping FSXNet alive.

Thanks for feedback! Did you visit after I changed to darkmode, or not? Please be more spesific/concrete on what you are missing if you can?

I only visited a couple times the same week, and didn't see that dark mode, so you must've added it later. I'll check it out now.

Yes, that is my dream. A marketplace both sysops and artists respect. If necceary I could even host it on a dedicated domain, and not mixed in
with the HOWTO's and Guides. What do you think? It's based on Wordpress
It could be like two separte "tabs" within the same site, where the 'arts gallery on sale' would be noticeably on a different 'area' of the site...

and Woocommerce which I hope makes for a platform the users and artists could trust.

You know what people trusts a lot? Stories of succesful transactions. I think it'd be great to have a 'reviews' list under every post... Notwithstanding, that would demand moderation... well.. no pain no gain, I guess.
    Keep it goin!!

Thanks, I realize you are correct on this. The two areas of interest needs sparation; I have decided to separate them (makes for cleaner sites, less bloat). So, www.BlockandLine.org is coming up real soon :) That should make the site much for art/ANSI like.

Yes, absolutely. The market module does support rating products/ANSI packs once a transaction is done. So, some sort of rating should probably be implemented.

    Keep it goin!!

Thank you!And thanks for the feedback. You are correct all along, and I will implement changes.
