I was pretty bummed with Leisure Suit Larry when I got to the finish and it didn't have anything "more adult".

I don't think I ever finished a Leisure Suit Larry game.. I mostly only played the 3rd one. And I think it had a great soundtrack..

Good memories. I remember being a youngster and trying to get past the intro questions to play this while my parents were upstairs. :D

I played Leisure Suit Larry 3 on my dad's PC (and he fully knew I was playing it, as he's the one who showed me the game), and even when I was 10 years old, I was able to pass enough of the intro questions to play the game. I remember the game asking about events that I thought were fairly well-known, such as famous news events from the past & things, which I had learned about from my dad & just word of mouth from other people.

That was the first one I played too I think. I never finished it, but the soundtrack was excellent, and I liked the artwork (heh) and the mood it set.

Still remember some of the jokes from the comedy club part.

Recommendations welcome. Please get away from the adult game topic...
VNs are OK though and adult VNs are ok, but this totally got off
    topic...

I'd imagine if anyone else played games of this genre, they would have spoke up by now, or even messaged you in private if one had felt the need to do so.z

Memories of playing Leisure Suit Larry as teenagers, whilst arguing if what was seen was an elbow or a boob, may very well be the closest thing to "on-topic" you're going to get on this one, champ. ;)

If I remember right, this is not the first time you've brought up this topic, and at least one other time that I can remember, there was the sounds of crickets then, too.

I've brought up easy games before, adult VNs is just something that
was added, not what I wanted to talk about. My reflexes, tremors
and other issues make hard games (and games that say they have easy
modes but don't) out of the question for me. My ADHD makes me
unlikely to take kindly to puzzles and strategy. Lego's games have
been suggested to me, but the one Avenger's game I've played with
multiple friends at different times we were unable to get past the
first screen. I've got a ton of Lego's games, but generally find
them too hard as well. Maybe I just haven't played the right one?
I've got the "When World's Collide" Bundle.

You mention (and blame) these issues of yours, but is there really that much of a difference between playing an "easy mode" on a game, compared to things like finding/reporting bugs and seeing out them getting fixed, setting up and making work tens, if not hundreds of door games, and figuring out how to run a BBS software from the 90s on modern hardware and operating systems like I've already seen you do? I tend to find the things I've seen you do much harder and attention requiring than most of the games you've mentioned or parts of the games you were trying to get through.

I'm wondering if it's something else, like lack of patience or willingness to figure out whatever game you almost seem to decide you don't like as soon as you start playing it - whereas you /do/ have the patience to get old decrepid software that nobody is around to fix and nobody else still uses, running on 64bit Windows with some hackery to NTVDM, even.

Don't take this as an insult at all. In fact, I'm praising the things I've witnessed your part in, especially in comparison to something like "finding or getting through a door to the next level" kind of talk. Makes me wonder if you actually /want/ to get to the next level, or if you had already given up on the game before you got to the point where you stop playing.

    Nick
