Just sharing an accidental (unintended) discovery about a certain use case for the BBS.
So why am I here? Well, peri said that they've sold roughly 15000 new c64u's. All with wifi. I operated under an assumption that we'd see an uptick of bbs logins from C64's looking for a petscii theme. So, i began planning out a petscii theme for my bbs to support them. I figured, by the time the devices ship, my board would be ready for them.

I thought about adding PETSCII support to my AI-WX door, but I came to
the same conclusion you did. I fear it would be a LOT of work for a
very small audience. Although if I get really bored and have time on
my hands, I may re-visit it in the future. I may have been more apt to
do it had I been a C64 owner in the past, but I was and still am a
TRS-80 CoCo 1/2/3 user. Lonewolf
