I believe once they start removing parts it becomes a slippery slope...

Especially if they remove the wrong parts.

    Hey Carol!

    Ah age getting us all.

Sometimes getting older really sucks but for reasons I've already stated - strong like bull, smart like tractor - I stubbornly persist.

For the past 2 weeks I've been taking care of Don who had hernia
surgery. It was his second time. Not fun for him as he's 74.

Ouch! I've never had but I definetly can imagine it would really suck ... really, really suck the second time.

Today I got confirmation that my blood level is finally stabilizing and my natural blood cycle looks to be getting back ontrack, which means no more transfusions. I find out tommorow about my gall bladder but I think it will cancelled. We'll see.

    Life is good,
    Maurice

    Glad for your good news!

My next news is in the future but as Don gets better (he was the priority), we set up for my cataract surgery. I'll be pretty much email only for a bit but I'll have Dave Perussel (SP?) in the wings at need. I'll pull together an email to all who need it in the next few days.

Using the BBS is quite difficult now but doable. They do the 2 eyes normally 3 weeks apart. Then wait a bit and new glasses. I don't know how functional I will be so will have a plan in place.

BTW, with this message, welcome Phil Taylor back as 1:275/100.4

He's decided to point for a bit. It will be a little as I don't have his connectivity tested yet but it will happen soon. He sent it in a phone text and having trouble reading it. (grin).

Joe's Stollings is all hooked up.

After seeing my post to you was accepted I wrote to Merlin again. SameO-SameO.
I didn't see it being accepted.

If this post to you is accepted all I asked Merlin was if the Camelot BBS ha internet address or dial up number a relative near Milton could use
    Ed

He's ION so no phone but he should be telnetable. He's still working on some parts so may not be accepting callers yet. That's why I left the CM off his nodelisting. I'll change that when hes ready but it's harmless to try in the interum!

    Hey Carol!

    Glad for your good news!

It got betterish since the phone call with the surgeon. It seems he wants to postpone the gall bladder surgery until they do more scans, peer consulting, etc. Now that it appears that I am on the mend, as well as unlikely to have cancer (liver), this suits me fine. I definetly have more recovery to do but at this point thinks are looking positive ... errrr ... negative in this case ... and that's a good thing as Martha would say.

we set up for my cataract surgery.

    Also a good thing?

Glad all seems well for yu!

Me, I just have the jitters over eyeball surgery. That's probably pretty normal to have.

    Hey Carol!

Glad all seems well for yu!

Had a blood test this morning and my hemoglobin level is holding steady since the last test taken a couple weeks ago ... so no transfusion needed! ... again! :-)

Definetly not out of the woods yet but I appear to be improving. :::knocking on wood:::

Me, I just have the jitters over eyeball surgery. That's probably
    pretty normal to have.

I believe so. Everybody in their right mind would have jitters - and then some - about anything poking at their eye(s).

    Day surgery?

The surgeon claims that I should be in-and-out if and when I get the gall bladder surgery. So far I haven't heard back since it got postponed. I am in no rush.
