    Hi Vincent,

On 2025-12-11 17:41:11, you wrote to Michiel van der Vlist:

I do have the Pascal sources for Allfix

You do? How did that happen? And when? And were there any conditions attached to it?

    along with FileMgr here.

I see it's on Source Forge already, put there by you! Good, kudos!

I can make one or both available via my website if anyone wishes

    Yes please do! ;-)

BUT be warned that in order to migrate one or both to say FPC
(Free Pascal Compiler) some one will need Pascal skill set as
well for some coding Assembler and in a few cases machine code
(8080) and covert those to modern Pascal library function that do
    the same job.

This is what Ken Johnson has already been doing. I don't know how far
he is with that, but it would be good if he published his work too, so
no double efforts will be done...

I did try and work on each of these as both make use of the same
or similar code to do many functions such as using the MKR?
libraries but I found that some small elements of code was
missing from Allfix and was going to take the missing elements
from FileMgr where ever possible but other work got in the way
and I ran out of time for it all and now age is a major issue.

Did you get "far" with this? Is your work in a version control system
    (like git)?

    Bye, Wilfred.

    No and no.

VCS is only of use if more than one is working on a project and that was not the case.

You can find FileMgr on sourceforge and for both of them go to :

applewood.linkpc.net then files, Development Allfix and masterfiles (for the sources).

.. and yes anyone with a Pascal background is welcome to do the same.

If you do start working on them please advise so can pass one all interested party details between you if needed.

    Vincent

That's not true! VCS is always useful!

You can find FileMgr on sourceforge

    Already did! ;-)

You have hidden them well! I can't find them. I can find the file areas on your website. But there is nothing that resembles 'Development Allfix and masterfiles' there?

I would really like Ken to publish his work first. I think he's already done some of the conversion to Free Pascal...
